Players from Wink Bingo stormed Tasty Bingo last Friday to take part in the first ever JoyPot game that was played at the Tasty Bingo website on June 25th. “Spider8” was the top winner walking away with a cool £1000! Plus, another fifty players with 1TG walked away with £444.44! Now all is well in Winkdom but on the night things didn’t quite go to plan for the all new Joypot game. The game started Friday at 9pm and it involved players from Wink Bingo along with RedBus, Posh Bingo and of course Tasty players ; ) because that was the site hosting the game. Wink Bingo and Posh in particular are two of the leading online bingo websites around, so you can imagine…there were a LOT of players heading over for the game.
Initially, only 250players were expected to join in with the JoyPot game: That was the amount of players who actually had tickets just one week before the game. Well, it seems that maybe they should have double checked those figures or had another head count a couple of days before because on the night an incredible TEN THOUSAND five hundred players turned up! The Chat Hosts were on form but it made no difference… players were determined to make their usual GL wish to one and all: This is the norm in Bingo Chat etiquette.
However, despite the Chat Hosts trying to stop 10,500 people all wishing each other good luck at once (obviously foreseeing this may well create a problem) those nice but naughty Roomies went and “gone done it anyways”! And blimey, did they do IT!!! As the traditional Good Lucks flowed they brought down the server crashing the server which meant that a big majority of players couldn’t watch the game being played. Some were still able to Chat (and I bet those that could were kicking that Chat window into orbit!) but none actually managed to watch the game: NOT quite the grand premier players were hoping for!
Wink Bingo members have been notching up they points to get tickets for the game: Other players had forked out £2 a ticket to take part – So it seems fair enough that they are somewhat peeved at not being able to actually sit back and enjoy the buzz. After all, that is why players go to all that trouble to collect points. Even so, be ASSURED it is lesson learned…… The next JoyPot game will be held at Wink Bingo 9pm, Friday 24th September 2010: There is another £25K in the JoyPot and one lucky player is going to walk away with the lot this time – DEFO NOT to be missed. So this time guys as the original dancing queens so eloquently put it “winner takes it all”!
