Foxy Bingo and their software provider Virtue Fusion are definitely what the people want – That is if the results of this year’s online Bingo Summit are anything to go by! Most of the results were no surprise apart from one… but we will get to that! Virtue Fusion beat off tough competition for the coveted title of Best Online Bingo Software 2010 from well known competitors: Gamesys Corporate, Parlay Entertainment LTD, Cosy Games and Dragonfish. They also pipped NYX Interactive to the post who went on to collect the Egaming B2B award for Best Innovation in Bingo of 2010 held in London’s Old Billingsgate on June 14th.
The Summit was held on June 9th and there was much speculation leading up to it. Virtue Fusion pretty much stormed the software categories after walking away with the Best Online Bingo Software AND Best Innovation for 2010 for their innovative Deal or no Deal game. Foxy Bingo recently celebrated their fifth birthday which means they are a relative newcomer in comparison to more hardcore veterans such as Tombola who are currently the largest bingo website online with regards to players – And who incidentally displayed their might by beating off fierce competition and collecting the award for Best Online Bingo Operator for 2010. Even so, Foxy Bingo was nominated for this award along with Wink Bingo, Paddy Power and Ladbrokes.
The word on the street before the summit indicated that it was pretty much a foreseeable surety that Foxy Bingo would take the Best Marketing campaign award: And they did. Who says you shouldn’t listen to gossip!!!! Tombola’s Emmerdale campaign was also a hot contender as were Red Bus, Ladbrokes and Tea & Bingo. The biggest turn up this year was the Best Online Information Portal award. This one seems to have caused a stir among the bingo ranks that’s for sure!
Since the Bingo Summit awards began Which Bingo has won the title every year – Which has been ruffling feathers for a while now. The main cause of concern among operators being that the owner of the Which Bingo portal was a nominator for the award. The question on everyone’s lips being is the award given on merit alone? Or on political relationships? Well, as it turns out the answer to that question seems to be no because Bingo Port won! Which has consequently given the award more credibility.
Virtue Fusion and Foxy Bingo look like a winning combination – Whether they will continue to compete successfully with the might of veterans such as Tombola who have been knocking around the bingo industry for nigh on fifty years remains to be seen: But the forecast is definitely looking good!
