UK Bingo News Roundup

It seems there is always something happening in UK bingo land and we take a look at a few of the recent news happenings in this area. The latest is a Scottish woman from Perth who wants to end up winning from her local bingo club no matter what. She is suing her Club, Kings Bingo for being responsible for burning her. Most bingo clubs serve hot food (with online bingo you have to make your own), and she received a burn injury on her arm after pointing over a counter at the chicken curry she wanted for dinner. She is attempting to hustle £10,000 out of the club. Not may people seem to have much pity for her plight and parent company of Kings Bingo is defending the claim. In another shocker UK citizens are appalled by a description from a Danish Dating site – Beautifulpeople.com. Which has described the entire British nation as a nation of ugly people! Simply because if you are not good looking enough you are voted off and, and British people are regularly voted off. Apparently Swedish men and Norwegian women are the best looking. I say, don’t support this site, stick to online bingo for social networking and stick to UK sites, these Vikings are still eyeing the British Isles with envious eyes, and they have a case of sour grapes.

A new company in Cambridge has developed special software to protect online gamblers from fraud, and this means online bingo players too. This software makes use of behavioural analysis as a basis for this technology and essentially protects the players of skill, arcade, bingo, card and other games from computer bots which might compete for prize money. Operators are already interested in this software and Betfair, parent company of Betfred Bingo have already signed a contract.

Last but definitely not least the names of the coveted “2010, Bingo Operator of the Year Awards” contenders have been released, and the results are not that surprising. eGaming Review are running the awards and Foxy Bingo has made it into the top six, followed by (in no order of importance) Wink Bingo, Tombola Bingo, Jackpot Joy, William Hill and Ladbrokes. Strange isn’t it how the really big brand name online bingo offerings rarely make it into these awards, Mecca and Gala Bingo are glaringly left out, my money is on Tombola, what about you?
