Parlay lose another bingo customer

Another bingo site has left the online bingo software provider Parlay Entertainment for rival gaming software company Virtue Fusion. Bingo Boogie confirmed the switch from Parlay to Virtue Fusion, despite being tied to Parlay since the site was launched. Parlay had recently launched a new upgrade to their software, and although Bingo Boogie was the first site to sign up to the V5 software with overwhelmingly positive feedback, the move to Parlay has already come into effect on the Bingo Boogie site.

Players at Bingo Boogie are still able to login using their old ID’s and passwords, and the changes will come into immediate effect on the site, with noticeable difference in game interface and design. However the software switch will have no adverse effect on player access, meaning all games will still be available on the bingo site.

For Parlay Entertainment, the news will no doubt be a bit of a blow. The pioneering company has often been referred to as one of the staples of the online bingo world, with the first online bingo website launched through Parlay software. However, its customer base has been dwindling over recent months as competitors up their game in the increasingly popular online bingo sector. A growth in popularity has led to a wealth of new sites being established, and gaming interface and design has never been so important in securing new customers.

Over the last few months, Parlay has lost some big name clients to Virtue Fusion, including Paddy Power Bingo and Virgin Bingo. Bingo Boogie is the latest loss for Parlay entertainment and joins other sites like Crown Bingo in being powered by Virtue Fusion. However, for many industry insiders, Globalcom is still widely considered to be one of the leading software platform distributors, boasting Foxy Bingo, Wink Bingo and Think Bingo as its clients.

And yet, Virtue Fusion has made a place for itself among online bingo sites, with plenty stepping up to use its innovative software. With a large range of gaming options, the Virtue Fusion software looks set to provide strong competition for current market leader Globalcom. With good player traffic, conversion rates and revenues plus a growing number of player recommendations to sites powered by Virtue Fusion, the apparent monopoly by Globalcom could see an increasing challenge, particularly when an existing contract between Globalcom and Cashcade comes to an end.
