More than eight thousand Tombola Bingo members entered the free prize draw promotion, to win a holiday on Tombola Island. Unless you’ve been stranded on a tropical island already, or hijacked by pirates, then you’ve probably read the hype! After the ASA ruled that the old Tombola Rollercoaster theme had to go, they decided to completely reinvent themselves. Hence, the big build up to their new look.. which is, the Tropical Island look… but not the old torn shorts and flip flops, kind of tropical island. We’re talking about sipping 5 star cocktails at sunset, and kidney shaped pools with floating bars!Tombola members have be clambering for a chance to win a trip to Tombola Island, which, as it turns out, was Mauritius. On October 1st, at the stroke of noon, everyone was finally put out of their misery, and the draw was made. The lucky winner, alias ‘Superhoop’, is a regular player at Tombola Bingo, being an avid fan for the past three years.
As you can imagine, she was absolutely ecstatic about her win, “gobsmacked” in fact! When Tombola made the call, to let her know about the prize, she couldn’t believe her luck, “I saw the TV ad and thought I’d love to win but didn’t think I would”. Now, Superhoop has had time to let her luck sink in, and is busy making plans for the trip. And, of course, she can’t wait to go!
Superhoop isn’t the only big winner at Tombola Bingo recently. Tombola’s, Bingo 90 progressive jackpot had been building for some time, and the strain has been showing. Nerves have been jangling, and dabbers rattling nervously, as players had to watch the jackpot slip through their dabbers, time and time again.
