That foxy bingo is one of the best UK online bingo site is again without dispute since they walked away with the e-gaming Oscar equivalent in the Online Bingo Club Awards 2009, on the 30th November. This event ran from 30th November to the 1st December and took place at London’s Old Billingsgate.
The point of these awards is to recognize industry leaders as well as movers and shakers, the best operators are awarded and short listed nominees this year included many of the very well known online bingo brands. Wink, William Hill, Jackpot Joy, Ladbrokes and Tombola Bingo all gave Foxy a good run for his money, but Foxy cut to the chase and pipped them to the finishing post! So Foxy Bingo is now the official “EGR Online Bingo Operator of the Year”. WTG!
This is a highly coveted award and many industry players watched with envious eyes, it is after all member numbers which count when it comes to votes and this says it all. It determines how the market share is made up and in the long run this also indicates who is making the most money.
Co-founder of Foxy Bingo and MD of parent company Cashcade, Simon Collins collected the award on behalf of the site. According to one online bingo writer “I bet he thanks the day he spawned the fox ; )”, and I couldn’t agree more. It would also be quite fascinating to find out how he was inspired to name an online bingo site after a fox, because this has really caught on, and in fact has become a household name in the UK.
All in all the two days of this event encompassed a whirl of meetings, seminars, workshops and networking, parties for the delegates. All of these aimed at assisting operators in the industry to achieve better results.
